Specialized Camera Sales

Corona cameras for detecting corona and arcing during daylight and lowlight are sold, rented and leased in North America by Specialized Camera Sales division of Ox Creek Energy Assoc Inc. a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) which imports, distributes, sales, and service for specialized cameras including infrared, visible, and ultraviolet for lowlight, laboratory, and solar-blind dayight corona inspection.

The critical voltage of corona inception is dependent on many factors, learn more in the Corona Technology Course. Corona inspection is used for design, analysis, and on-going inspection. A tool to identify future failure points due to electric field caused corona nitric acid deposits, ozone aging deterioration, and deposition of airborne chemicals.

Contact Specialized Camera Sales at 1-800-531-6232 or (920)255-5510 or by email at cameras@maqs.net to discuss your special imaging application and bring 45 years of corona inspection experience to work for you.

The CoroCAM-MultiCAM family is now built by Uvirco and across North America sold and serviced by Ox Creek Energy since 2001. The family of ultraviolet viewers and daylight corona cameras enable users to locate ultraviolet emissions and image the background in color concurrently in the visible. Solar-blind cameras are typically bi-spectral meaning they have two cameras (one visible and one ultraviolet looking at the same field-of-view). Using a camera that can image the solar-blind wavelengths enables the cameras to see ultraviolet emissions (corona, arcing, flames invisible during daylight) during bright sunlight. and overlay them precisely on the visible color background. Call toll-free 1-800-531-6232 to discuss your application. The CoroCAM 504 is the world's most capable bi-spectral camera with exclusive day-light and low-light corona imaging in one camera. This low-light capability also makes the CoroCAM 504 the most sensitive and most versatile corona camera available. The MultiCAM is a tri-spectral ( long-wave Infrared+color visible+solar-blind ultraviolet ) hand-held camera which shows the heated and arcing damaged areas with the corona. With the push of one button the UV can be overlaid onto a visible or infrared image. Then store each image with GPS coordinates for location and an audio clip to describe the problem. The CoroCAM 1 and CoroCAM 3 are low-light corona cameras, with a video output for display or recording. Call toll-free 1-800-531-6232 to discuss your application.

Syntronics Inc. develops and manufactures UV Viewers and systems useable for many applications. The Syntronics CoronaFinder model offers low-cost low-light corona viewing. If your application can be viewed in a low-light or shielded environment this viewer may work for you. Applications for UV viewers are electrical inspection, re-inspection after a repair, forensic police or fire, HV instruction courses, installation and methods of assembly, Quality Control, electric motor or generator windings inspection,... The optional recorder can be purchased to share live video to another location or record real-time video. Different filters can also be furnished for field installation on the CoronaFinder to change or limit the UV wavelengths observed to meet your applications. Call toll-free 1-800-531-6232 to discuss your application.

The Corona Technology Course was presented 6 times in the US and Canada with video made of the course presentations. Mr. James R Booker EE-PE in 14 hours presented the high voltage technology related to the who, what, where, when and why of corona on electrical conductors, insulators, bucket trucks and other assemblies from his 30 year utility career including 15 years of field troubleshooting and outdoor high voltage test lab experience at the AEP-ASEA HV Lab. Dan Ninedorf presented the test equipment and common problems caused by corona and arcing in the field from thousands of corona and infrared camera demos. A dear friend to many, Jim passed away and is saluted in memory at the website www.corona-technology-course.com and the course is now available complete on three DVD's with the course book for $250 US, postage included in the US. This a great resource for all who are starting to try to understand high voltage, corona, arcing, there causes, how to prevent them and after lightening or other reasons how to find the problems. It's pretty much true there are no new problems, just new problem solvers who need this training to do the job right.

Contact Specialized Camera Sales at 1-800-531-6232 or (920)255-5510 or by email to discuss your special imaging application (typically non-visible) and we can package a system to meet your needs, along with camera operation training and specialized infrared or corona technology training.
