Sherlock SF6 Gas Leak Detection Camera

The Sherlock SF6 gas leak detection camera is used to image the leak location and quantify the leakage of SF6 gas used as an insulator in substation high voltage breakers. The Sherlock SF6 camera is used by electric utility, industry, and service companies to inspect, locate, monitor and verify repair of SF6 gas leakage. The Sherlock SF6 can be tripod mounted or hand-carried. The Sherlock SF6 has on-board video storage, the video clips can then be downloaded and analyzed in the software provided to determine the leak source and the leak volume in ppm.

The Sherlock SF6 has new software for "Automatic Gas Imaging" that enables the Sherlock SF6 to "colorize" the gas leak to make the gas leak contrast with the black and white infrared image. All infrared images start in black and white, the gas being colored makes it easier for the operator to see against various backgrounds encountered when doing leak surveys.

The Sherlock SF6 by Gas Imaging Technology joins the family of Sherlock cameras including the Sherlock VOC (Volatile Organic Chemicals) that can image more then 40 gases and the Sherlock FE which has been imaging flare stack gases for over 10 years. The Sherlock cameras are a commercialization by Gas Imaging Technology of the parent company Pacific Advanced Technology which developed and patented the IMSS lens for all camera types, the IMSS was developed in cooperation with government and business to be able to instantly image and identify plumes and other applications.

The Sherlock SF6 developed by Gas Imaging Technology incorporates proven technology to image the smallest SF6 gas leaks, setting itself apart from competitors with it's data cube technology that allows quantification of the gas flow during post processing.
